The 24pdr Howitzer could not be manned in action at the same time as the pivot gun.
The revolving gun cannot be extreme trained forward on account of combings of ventilators for engine room.
History:1st January 1856. As from this date all gunboats were commissioned as impendent commanders with a crew of 36 men and officers.
23rd April 1856. Present at Fleet Review, Spithead.
5th May 1858. Commanded by Lieutenant Commander Noal Osborn, Mediterranean station.
26th September 1861. Broken up at Malta.
